Rotax Max Grand Finals

After long racing season in Amman organizing the RMC, Hamza Dirani & Nicola Fanous travelled to al Ain, UAE, to attend the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals. The race was held at Al Ain International Raceway, which already hosted the Grand Finals in 2007. The annual event, in its 12th year, was the largest karting event to date with 264 participants from 60 countries. Dirani & Fanous met with Roni Sala, president of Birel Karts, which were the supplier for the juniors race. They also attended the Rotax annual distributors meeting to learn more about the Rotax series and all the new parts that will be introduced in the 2012.

Royal Automobile Museum Summer Camp

The 5^th RAM Summer Camp took the kids for mechanical training this summer. 25 kids from around the country visited the workshop at the Royal Automobile Club of Jordan to learn about the mechanics or the Kart. Dirani was there to explain to the kids how karts work and how each driver can setup & maintain his own kart. But more important, he talked about the safety of the sport and things that drivers should apply before driving. After that, they all got to try how to replace parts on real racing karts in the workshop.

Toyota Zelas Testing

Toyota Jordan (CTA) invited Hamza Dirani to test the all-new Zelas, and to shoot a promotional video. The Zelas is the new sports car released by Toyota and its equippedwith a 2500cc engine, front wheel driver, with 6 speed peddle shifting transmitting. The shooting took place in Al Adassiyaon closed roads for this purpose. Click here to check out the video!

Official Ducati representative to Jordan

Hamza Dirani became the official dealer to the Italian motorcycles manufacturer, Ducati. After meeting in Beirut with Mr. Gilber Khoury, Ducati’s regional director, Dirani and Khoury agreed to have a base in Jordan for the bikes sale as well as service center which will be all ready in the first quarter of the coming year.

Hamza Dirani Shares His Talent with the SOS Children

We are very glad to share with you our latest karting activity. We have invited the youth of SOS villages from Amman, Irbid, and Aqaba to the circuit to spend a day with Hamza at the Jordan Speed Center. A total of seventy boys and girls, aged between 14 and 18, were divided into groups to race against each other and the winners of each group competed in a final race.

Before the start of the qualifying heats, Hamza gave a brief introduction to the children about karting in general and driving skills. He spoke to each group separately about safety measures followed when driving and then offered them advice and tips on driving and achieving a good time.

At the end of the day, the winners had a ten laps race with Hamza and the top three winners were given trophies.

Dirani visits Red Bull F1 team

During his stay in Bahrain for the FIA World Council Race, Dirani was invited to visit the Red Bull F1 team. The visit started with a tour in the team pits to see the cars while preparing them for the race. Afterwards Red Bull introduced Dirani to their driver, Mark Webber. Webber was very interested to know about karting in Jordan and the Middle East. They also discussed how important it is to promote this sport as to come up with new generation of drivers with karting experience as its key to succeed in motorsports.

FIA World Council Race

During the F1 Bahrain GP, Creative Tracks organized a karting race as a support event for the FIA World Council. Some of the event featured drivers were the President of the FIA, President of the CIK. and Michèle Mouton. Dirani was handling the race control and met with the CIK president to talk about the karting status in the region.

Hamza Dirani became technical consultant to Creative Tracks

Jordan Karting, represented by the local karting champion Hamza Dirani, became the technical advisor to Creative Tracks. Creative Tracks is a Saudi company that is organizing the Saudi Karting Championship in collaboration with the Saudi Motorsport Federation. Dirani will be the race director to their races and will also offer karting courses to the new drivers.
